This roundtable discussion will focus on faculty development activities around transformative learning (TL) that were implemented at two campuses. The goals were to shift campus cultures towards a priority on holistic student development leading to increases in the opportunities for student transformative experiences, both in and out of the classroom. To center the discussion, we will describe the TL faculty development activities at our campuses in Brazil and Oklahoma, USA. These include campus forums, conferences, working groups and committees, book clubs, and trainings. Through these, we highlighted the major tenets of our conception of TL: disorienting dilemmas, critical reflection, rational dialogue, and expansions of perspective. This conversation will highlight lessons learned along the way, our ideas for future and ongoing faculty development, and it will seek input from participants on what they’ve tried and their ideas for taking this type of faculty professional development to the next level.
