Updates from the Co-Chairs & Steering Committee
(12/31/21) – Important information and instructions for preparing and submitting final papers and/or extended abstracts has been emailed to all accepted authors/presenters and can be viewed here: ITLC 2022 Paper Instructions for Authors/Presenters. Final papers/extended abstracts are due by February 15, 2022.
As ITLC 2022 has moved to a fully virtual conference, the Conference Lodging page has been archived. If you already made reservations that you now need to cancel, you can find the archived page with the contact information for the Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center here: Lodging.
(12/18/21) – The ITLC Steering Committee and the ITLA Leadership Circle are mindful of the new impacts of the Covid Omicron variant and its effects on communities around the world. Two of our core values–community and inclusion–are in conflict as we consider the ongoing effects of the Pandemic. How do we ensure a safe and healthy community gathering while attending to matters of inclusion?
As a result, we have reluctantly decided to move ITLC 2022 to a fully virtual conference. The dates of the conference will remain from April 6-9, 2022.
The Steering Committee is currently exploring what virtual conference platform will be used to host the conference.
The Scientific Committee has completed its reviews of proposal submissions and is finalizing its decisions and communications to authors. Notifications of decision will be emailed and posted in the Ex Ordo submission management platform by December 22, 2022.
(10/14/21) – We understand many have been navigating a challenging return to campus this Fall, and so we are extending the deadline to submit proposals to October 31st.
We have also added language to the Instructions for Submissions below clarifying that a partial list of references is acceptable in the proposal body in order to allow sufficient space for the proposal summary, references and supporting materials subject to the 1200 word limit.
(10/1/21) – It is our intention that the 2022 International Transformative Learning Conference be an in-person conference. However, we also understand that we continue to be affected by a world-wide health crisis. Given this context, the steering committee is evaluating possible options for virtual participation and presentations. A final decision on this option will be announced on December 15. This is also the date when proposal acceptance emails will be sent. Our goal is to allow participants time to make an informed decision on whether they can commit to submitting a final paper and presenting at the conference should travel restrictions make attendance impossible.
